Nautique Boats has announced the full athlete list for the 58th Nautique Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament. The 58th Masters and 25th Nautique Junior Masters will be held (May 26-28, 2017) on Robin Lake at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. The Masters is known throughout the world as the most prestigious watersports tournament.
Canadian athletes that have been named to ski at this prominent event include: Stephen Neveu, Jason McClintock (Men Slalom) – Breanne Dodd, Whitney McClintock (Women Slalom) – Ryan Dodd (Men Jump) – Whitney McClintock, Neilly Ross (Women Trick).
Junior Canadian athletes that have been invited to ski in the Junior Masters include: Neilly Ross, Paige Rini, Jaime Bull (Jr. Women Slalom) – Neilly Ross, Paige Rini (Jr. Women Trick) – Dominique Allard, Paige Rini (Jr. Women Jump) – Conley Pinette (Jr. Men Jump) – Paige Rini (Jr. Women Overall ).
An invitation to compete in the Masters is universally considered an acknowledgment of achievement for reaching the pinnacle in a given water sports discipline – only the world’s most elite athletes compete at the Masters. Water ski athletes that are not on the invitation list can still try to earn a spot for the Masters or Junior Masters. These skiers can attend the Masters Last Chance Qualifier which will be held May 19-21 at Sunset Lakes in Groveland, Fla.
