CANADIAN WATER SKI TEAM SET TO COMPETE IN THE PAN AM GAMES STARTING THIS SATURDAY IN LIMA, PERU

The Canadian Pan American Water Ski Team begins competition at the  Pan American Games on Saturday, July 27 at Laguna Bujama in Lima, Peru. The water skiing and wakeboarding events will be held Saturday, July 27 through Tuesday, July 30.

For live scoring of the wakeboard events, click here.  Lima 2019 will be the first Pan American Games to include a women’s wakeboarding event.

Team Canada will be represented by:

The Pan American Games take place every four years, in the year preceding the Olympic Games and is the third-largest multi-sport event in the world behind the Summer Olympic and Winter Olympic Games.

Canada has enjoyed great success at past Pan Am Games water ski and wakeboard competitions. Canadians successes include: Mar del Plata 1995 with six medals, five medals at both Winnipeg 1999 and Santo Domingo 2003 and nine medals at Rio 2007, Guadalajara 2011 and Toronto 2015.

The water ski and wakeboard competition will feature eight water ski events: women’s slalom, tricks, jump, overall, men’s slalom, tricks, jump, overall and two wakeboard events: men’s and women’s wakeboard.
