Mark Stevens was inducted into the Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada Hall of Fame as an Athlete, this past weekend at the 2019 Water Ski Nationals in Saint-Donat, Quebec.
With extensive experience in the sport of water ski, as a senior level skier, Mark has dominated the podium over the course of his athletic career both nationally and internationally. As an Overall skier, at the senior level, he is among the best in the World and has consistently won or placed in all four disciplines at every Nationals he has ever competed in. Mark has owned the Canadian men’s jump record in Men’s four since 2004. After entering the Men’s five division in 2012, he immediately set a new record and then broke it a few months later (48.6m) – the record still stands to date. Mark has consistently ranked in the top 5 in overall since 2010 when the IWWF started compiling statistics for these age groups. At the international level Mark is a renowned athlete, respected not only for his skiing but for his sportsmanship and the quality of his character. As a top international official, Mark has not only judged at the elite international level but for many Canadian Class One events throughout Ontario. Mark and his family are valued members of the water ski community. Mark’s contributions to the sport and his achievements as an athlete have left an indelible mark and has set the bar high for all future athletes
