These seminars are a great opportunity for those who are new to officiating, want to advance their officiating level, need a refresher, or if you have been away from the sport and want to get back into officiating.

FREE VIRTUAL WATER SKI SCORING SOFTWARE SEMINAR

MAY 16 AT 8PM ET

Want a refresher of the waterski scoring program? Or maybe you want to learn to use the program.

This will be an introduction or review of the software that is used in Canada to record and submit results of competitions. How to enter skiers; make start lists; publish and print start lists and results; enter the scores for slalom, trick, and jump; and how to save and submit tournament results.

FREE VIRTUAL JUMP JUDGES SEMINAR

MAY 22 AT 8PM ET

Experience the thrill of flight as you delve into the world of jump skiing as an observer. What are the rules surrounding the jump event? Re-rides? How do you determine the skier’s first contact with the water to measure distance?

Join this virtual (Zoom) course on Wednesday, May 22nd at 8pm (ET) to refresh and/or learn all about water ski jump judging. This course is open to anyone who is new to tournaments or would like a refresher on the roles of a jump judge.

FREE VIRTUAL BOAT DRIVING SEMINAR

MAY 29 AT 8PM ET

The driving seminar will focus on general tournament boat driving skills and considerations.

Half of the course will be devoted to a presentation on tournament boating and a discussion of some online sources of boating information. The remaining half of the course will be a question and answer session on the material covered and any other topics of interest to the participants.

FREE VIRTUAL TRICK JUDGES SEMINAR

MAY 30 AT 8PM ET

Delve into the artistry and precision of trick skiing as you learn to judge the event. This will be an introduction to the trick skiing and will cover some of the basics that are used to perform the more difficult tricks. What will be covered?  Credit and no-credit; common sequences; how to record while calling tricks during the event; and a review of essential rules.

FREE VIRTUAL SLALOM JUDGES SEMINAR

JUNE 5 AT 8PM ET

Navigate the twists and turns of the slalom course with precision as you judge the athletes. This will be a review of the rules that guide the slalom event. How are skiers judged; how is the buoy count determined; when can skiers continue or have their run completed; and how are skiers eligible for re-rides?

A virtual (Zoom) course is being offered Wednesday, June 5th at 8pm (ET) This course is open to anyone who is new to tournaments or would like a refresher before the tournament season begins.

WSC is the governing body of competitive water skiing and provides oversight into the conduct of tournaments. This includes educating and preparing officials to participate at all levels of competition.
