    Event Overview

Water Ski Wakeboard Ontario and McClintock’s Ski School & Club are proud to host the 2018 Canadian Water Ski Nationals. Puslinch Lake has been home to a water ski club since 1958, and McClintock’s has been running the school and club as a family since 1978. As they celebrate their 40th anniversary they look forward to sharing on this occasion with skiers from around the country who continue to share their love and dedication to the sport.

The event will start on Wednesday, August 8 with familiarization for all provinces. Nationals events will run morning and afternoon from Thursday through Sunday. The 2018 Nautique Canadian Water Ski National Champions will be awarded in a 1 round tournament style.

Puslinch Lake is a large lake, and home to 3 tournament ready slalom courses. Due to the size of the lake the 2018 Canadian Nationals will only be a one round tournament. The McClintock family has donated a second set for all those who do NOT qualify for Open, free of charge, to take place any time after your tournament round is over. Sets must be booked in advance at McClintock’s Ski School and will take place on the West side of the lake. Additional sets may be booked as well throughout the Nationals week at a discounted rate of $40. Family members travelling with competitors or volunteers will also be awarded this discount.

Once final registration is complete the exact schedule and format will be posted. The detailed schedule of events and more information on this format will be out in the next Bulletin.

Water Ski Canada’s UPDATED Ranking Lists are now available.

2020 has been an exceptional season. Some provinces have held events, some have not. In addition some athletes have chosen not to participate to stay safe and healthy. As a result, the WSC Technical Committee has decided to compile this year's ranking to include 2019 events in an effort to provide some consistency, year over year.

Head over to our website to view

Note of Clarification
It has come to Water Ski Canada’s attention that the C1 tournament that took place this past weekend, sanctioned “World Water Ski League Open Slalom Championships” has created confusion for some due to event social media posts congratulating “Canadian Champions”.
Please note that this was not a Water Ski Canada National Championships. The 2020 Canadian Water Ski National Championships originally scheduled for Shalom Park in August were cancelled in April due to the pandemic. With the hope that competition will return to normal in 2021, we will resume the National Championships then. Stay tuned for more information to come.

Are you water skiing this weekend at your home site or Club? If so, we have the event for you!

Water Ski Canada and World Water Skiers are proud to bring you the first-ever Virtual Slalom Championships, a Class F Recreational free event. Due to COVID-19, Water Ski Canada has had to significantly alter our summer tournament schedule. Water Ski Canada’s foremost concern is to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants at our tournaments. We have all missed competing together in one location; we know you do, too. To celebrate the end of the summer, we have teamed with World Water Skiers to help launch their new virtual platform, Water Ski Games.

The 2020 Canadian Virtual Slalom Championships is an opportunity for you to compete from your home training grounds, with the Canadian water ski community – for fun! An incredible opportunity to virtually bring together our athletes.

Water Ski Games is a revolutionary approach to water ski tournaments! With the pressure to find a way to keep people competing through COVID-19 times, World Water Skiers has pulled out all the stops to come up with a great way to do this. No judges and no official drivers are required. Skiers can simply record a video of their performance and upload it on the new Water Ski Games platform to participate in a Nation-wide event.
