18 Athletes to Represent Canada at the 2022 Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament.

For the first time in Canadian water ski history, 18 skiers will be representing Canada at the 62nd Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament. There will be 9 athletes competing in the Junior Masters and 9 competing in the Open division. This is the highest number of athletes in history to represent Canada at the US Masters. The event will take place at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, GA on May 27-29, 2022.


The Juniors will compete in prelims and finals on May 27 in slalom, trick, jump, and overall. The Open competitors will compete in slalom, trick, and jump with prelims on May 28 and finals on May 29. The Masters is known around the world as being one of the most prestigious watersports events, with the origin beginning in 1959. The event will host the best water skiers in the world, an invitation to compete at the Masters alone is considered an honour.


Water Ski Canada is proud to recognise these top athletes. Their invitation to the 62nd Masters Water Ski & Wakeboard Tournament is a confirmation of their hard work and dedication within the sport of waterskiing.

Record Number of Canadian Athletes Attending the Masters

IWWF PAN AM CHAMPIONSHIPS BEGINS THURSDAY

Four Canadian Water Ski Teams will compete in the 2021 Pan American Water Ski Championships, Thursday through Sunday, at Boca Laguna in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. 

Members of the Canadian Pan Am Team are

Elite Team: Jamie Calhoun (ON), Taryn Grant (ON), Conley Pinette (BC), Paige Rini (ON), Neilly Ross (ON) and Chantal Singer (ON)

CARTER LUCAS & REBECCA RAMSAY RECEIVE THE 2021 MANOO SCHOLARSHIP

Congratulations to Carter Lucas and Rebecca Ramsay, recipients of the 2021 Manoo and Jean Gurjar Scholarship.  The scholarship is given out each year to provide financial support to the skiing and educational pursuits of one male and one female Canadian water skier who best represent  the ideals established in honour of Manoo Gurjar.  

The Manoo Scholarship is awarded to athletes who:

-Love and passion for the sport of water skiing;
-Sociability and friendliness within the water ski community 
-Good sportsmanship;
-Gives back to the sport in his or her own unique way;
-Demonstrates a commitment to education;
-Demonstrates a commitment to training and becoming better;
-Demonstrates potential and drive to compete

CANADIAN OVER 35 PAN AM TEAM SELECTED

Water Ski Canada is pleased to announce the athletes who have been selected to represent Canada at the 2021 IWWF Over 35 Pan American Water Ski Championships, October 29-31, in Chapala, Jalisco, Mexico. The team consists of 13 water ski athletes in four age divisions.
