The 10th Can Am Team Challenge took place on Aug. 31-Sept. 1, at Shalom Park in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. The two-day, world-record capability event featured team competitions between Canada and the United States. Team Canada won Team Gold for U14 and Team Silver for U17 – Congratulations to everyone who participated.
Members of the 2019 Canadian U17 Can Am Water Ski Team were: Sean Kraus (AB), Noah McCormick (ON), Carter Lucas (SK), Jonathon Horwood (BC), Olivia Chute (NS), Linnea Mullen (AB), Avery Colcleugh – alternate (AB) and Evan Kraus – alternate (AB).
The Canadian Under 17 Team tallied 7,813.65 points to USA’s 8,492.73 points. Team scores were based on the top-three team members’ overall scores for each of the three events (slalom, tricks and jumping).
Members of the 2019 Canadian U14 Can Am Water Ski Team were: Leo Bigourdan (ON), Lucas Pinette (BC), Hannah Stopnicki (QC), Megan Pelkey (AB), Nellie Allard (QC), Shae O’Brien (AB) and Jacob Chambers – alternate (BC).
The Canadian Under 14 Team tallied 8,652.10 points to USA’s 6,965.40 points.
